Has anyone done this successfully? I have a Windows 10 machine with two drives. One is an empty terabyte drive that I'd like to use for this purpose. Thanks.
I'm in the same situation as you. Here's a link I found:
http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2015/11/how-to-install-ubuntu-linux-alongside.html
Not sure if you saw this guide when you were researching about this. It talks about Ubuntu but it should work for other distros of Linux from what I have read from some other articles.
I'm still in the process of going through the entire process. For step 2 of this guide, they suggest using win32 disk manager but I would suggest using Rufus instead as it is more accessible. Just Google for rufus.
I managed to disable secure boot and enable legacy support with some sighted help and created a bootable USB drive.
If you have already managed to dualboot successfully before this, could you please share your experiences?
